"Hopefully you won't need to get that drunk again." He had a feeling that somehow he'd been the reason for that 'adventure'. Giving her a gentle kiss, he smiled softly at his love. "I'm sorry I hurt you." It might not have been intentional and he might know that Magnus would have done the same for their children, but he still regretted the pain she'd suffered through because of it. "I'll do everything I can to make sure you don't go through it again."
Holding her close, he brushed his fingers through her hair. "They'll be good for each other. Mal will counteract my parents' opinions of Downworlders to Max can make his own decisions." It'd almost broken his heart when his little brother had repeated the things his parents had said about warlocks. "And Max will push him in the right direction."
His expression darkened for a moment at the comment about the other Shadowhunters, hating how their kin had treated her. "They think that but if it weren't for you, we'd all have been killed over a century ago." Sighing quietly, Alec traced his fingers along the curve of her ear. "I wish they'd look past your eyes and see who you really are." He wished the same for their kittens, but at least they'd have his siblings to encourage them.
Humming softly at the attention to his neck, he slid his fingers along Magnus' neck and down her spine to the first mark he'd given her. "You're not too tired or sick? I want to but we can wait."
