Sep. 8th, 2013 06:19 pmThe day was no different than any other Wednesday. Not really. Except the one extra guest this time. And most were surprised when she pried herself away from his side to bounce around the ship to help them ready for the evening family get together of sort. She normally always did. But they'd accepted the fact that their lovely captain remained perfectly attached to the Nephilim they saved. Most of the crew seemed accepting even. Some even dared to comment she looked more lively than usual. They were right.
Magna had never felt so alive in her entire existence. Getting the ship ready for the evening felt like the singular most important event of her life all of a sudden. Which is why she'd kissed Alec's cheek grinning telling him she'd only be ashore less than half an hour when they stopped to get supplies. And she'd found a dress there from a caravan of wandering gypsies selling silks and clothing that suited her darker complexion as well as the golden jewelry to adorn her arms legs and even her waist. Maybe the adornment int he navel was a little much... but she'd heal fast after taking it out later if he seemed to disapprove.
When she trotted back on board, they set sail to leave shore. The finishing touches could be handled by her crew as they pulled out instruments and readied for the dinner that would end with a night in starlight. Magna, however scurried to Catarina and drug her off. The end result had her picking nervously at the silken falls of silvery blues and teals that could be seen off the coasts of the Caribbean and into the horizon of the sea. It was beautiful. All the way down to the soft ringlets that Catarina enjoyed putting in her hair like a mother doting on her child.
"This is new. I know you like to dress up, but you actually look nervous." Catarina seemed pleased with herself as Magnus managed to blush a delicate crimson. "You really like him don't you?"
Tucking a raven strand behind her ear, she arched a brow at her healer. "It's impossible not to. I'm trying not to let my hopes and desires run away from me."
Catarina only shook her head and pushed at her. "Go get him. It'll likely take him a while to actually come out of your cabin." Magna laughed at that. It was true. Alec had been hiding. But that was before she knew they were accepting. Now they wanted to see him. Curious as to what and who made Magnus Bane so insanely happy.
So when she opened the door to her cabin, holding a package of new clothes for him, she smiled slowly. "Hey... Sorry it's been so crazy today. You know... the crew wants to meet you." The flush in her cheeks only darkened as she worried about how he'd see her in the new clothes, but she didn't wince or shy away. "Please come with me to join them?"
