Glittering gold eyes lifted to him and she smiled just a little. "I hated seeing you in pain. I hated him hurting you. Where I couldn't stop him... I stopped anyone else." She tipped her head a little and turned her body to face him. "I wouldn't have let you die..." Just like she wouldn't let Sebastian violate him.
Her brow furrowed a bit more as his hand moved over her back. "I didn't know there was any other way." It wasn't a matter of convincing. It was a matter of what was. "My mother killed herself and my father tried to kill me. He was the one that picked up a cursed child and took it home with him. I owed him for that. I just didn't realize his son would be an abomination."
Sighing softly, she paused when he touched the material. "Did you need me to fix your clothes?" Slowly lowering back down next to him, she scooted close to leech off of his body heat.
"Why do you feel like you need to protect me? I can cause immense natural disasters and raze an entire city. The first I didn't do on purpose and the second I never tried, so you know. But regardless... I just want to know..." It made her smile and feel young again. Pressing a hand softly to his chest, she let the soft blue light ripple over his clothes and mended the fabric as best she could. "You're the most angelic nephilim I have ever had to pleasure of meeting..."
