Part of her wanted to point out that Alec didn't understand what it meant to break an oath like this. What Sebastian would do to her. She remembered him once whispering in her ear that she'll beg for death if she ever dared betray him. She had to look completely away from Alec and rub at her face as though the physical movement would clear all thoughts of him away.
"I don't regret breaking it. At least I'll know I did one thing right in my life." Because she expected to die for it. Even if Alec gave her the benefit of the doubt, the other Nephilim wouldn't. Not to someone like her. Just like Valentine always told her. "They say that you can't choose your parents. You can't. And you also can't choose the person that takes you in."
Slowly sitting up, she pressed her palm to her forehead and winced when elaborate jewelry snagged in raven strands. Softly touching her fingertip to the gold metal, the hair unwound from the metal till she could pull it out. Waves of silken ebony tumbled down her back before she grimaced at the tears in her clothes. She shouldn't waste magic... but being near naked didn't help either. A soft blue light spread from her fingertips and the clothing mended slowly. Not that it was any thicker or warmer than before.
Finally turning her head to look down at him, she smiled a little and scooted closer for his warmth. Gently pulling off the arm bands and bracelets, she dropped it all in a pile off to their side. She'd sell them for clothes and food.. but if anyone was caught with it... Sebastian would brutally murder them. "I know you will... but please don't feel like you have to. We both know there are places where others won't let me follow you..."
