Something about the way he hugged her made her melt into his arms. Closing her eyes, she let one arm wind about his neck. Turning her head, she pressed her face softly into his hair as her fingers tangled into the strands at the back of his neck. "I understand..."

What Sebastian did to him... That didn't go away just because you got away from him. Sebastian made sure that you remembered him for a long time after. Leaning back to look him in the eye, the glitter of her eyes almost glowed in the low light as she searched his face.

Her expression went still and quiet at his question and her lips parted to breathe in slowly. "To answer that question, I'd have to tell you my life story..." It wouldn't make sense without all the details, but... "I can attempt to summarize. I owed a life debt to Valentine. He requested I watch over his son. I hate his son."

Idly curling her fingers through his hair, she half closed her eyes. "He forced me to go 'see' his new amusement. I hated the dungeons. And you..."
