Magnus let her mind start to sinking... like going under the surface of water that completely surrounds you. She was aware of Alec. Could even feel his warmth through the thin silk of her clothing. And part of her wished he was closer as the sun lowered on the horizon and left the air colder.
Furrowing her brow, she rolled onto her side and drew her legs slowly to her chest. If anything she could stay warmer this way. Possibly. Maybe? Normally she could do something with magic... now she couldn't. And she didn't even know if Alec dared fall asleep with someone like her in the room with him.
Then his words broke through the darkness and got her to open her eyes. Feline eyes ran over his face slowly before she let them fall closed. "If you're offering to keep me warm... I would appreciate it." A small smile pulled at the corner of her lips. "But... don't feel like you have to."
She'd really never had anyone give her something so subtle and gentle. Something kind. Kindness really never made an appearance in her life. It was a curious thought.
